As Director, Compensation Analysis & Development, Debra works with WageWatch clients around the country to design and implement their compensation plans to better reflect local market conditions and compliance with federal and state employment laws. For each consulting project, Debra provides creative solutions and alternatives to best meet the client’s needs and strike the right balance between market competitiveness, budget and administration.
Prior to joining WageWatch, Debra worked for 22 years at Interstate Hotels and Resorts, the leading independent hotel management company in the United States. As an expert in Human Resources, Debra designed Interstate’s Compensation program and managed the Compensation & Benefits Department for the corporate office and multiple field locations including all major US markets. Career highlights include design, development and implementation of compensation and benefit plans, administrators and venues through significant company growth to 400+ properties, leading payroll conversions, implementation of HRIS systems, implementation of stock purchase & stock option plans and managing the company’s retirement and health and welfare benefits programs.
Debra has also served on committees such as the Interstate Hotels and Resorts Benefits Committee and Retirement Plans Committee as well as the steering Committee for the Hotel Industry Compensation Survey Group.
Director, Workforce Development
Diane has worked and consulted in Human Resources as a professional for over 25 years. Throughout her career Diane has believed that employee motivation and property operational efficiency are the keys to success. Diane currently works as a consultant for a variety of gaming projects around the country.
She began her gaming career at the MGM Grand Reno in table games operations and at Ballys/Reno Hilton in Human Resources and Training. She was recruited by Grand Casinos, where she held positions of property Director and Vice President of Training and HR and assisted in the opening of five Grand Casino Properties. Later in her career, Diane opened/re-opened four Native American properties with First Nation Gaming. For Cascade Entertainment, she opened Chukchansi Casino Resort, an 1,600 employee property outside Yosemite, and remained as VP of HR and Training for 3 years. Diane opened/reopened two highly successful casinos in New York State with Nevada Gold and American Racing. In 2006, she accepted the position of VP of HR for Lakes Entertainment and oversaw their operations in Michigan and Oklahoma and the opening of Red Hawk Casino outside of Sacramento.
